Kiichiro Iwai is the pioneer of Japanese whiskey. "IWAI TRADITION" is his traditional model for Mars Whisky. In contrast, the taste of Mars whisky "IWAI" is lighter. Blended with Japanese whiskey for a woody and light taste, it brings out the gorgeous aromas stored in bourbon barrels, ready to be savored freely. Sweet, with fruit flavors such as pear and papaya, with hints of red fruit and vanilla.

Iwai Tradition, a malt-driven spirit that incorporates a very small amount of peat, is an accessible and compelling entry point to the world of Mars’s Nagano-produced distillates and to Japanese whisky at large. Enjoy neat, with a touch of water, or in a classic highball.

Colour: Caramel.

Nose: Initially, spiced honey, and gingerbread aromas dominate the nose, followed by a little creamy white rice, some subtle dried fruits and the faintest hint of peat smoke.

Palate: Full bodied, serving up flavours of maple syrup on vanilla biscuits, fresh bread, orange marmalade, cinnamon, soft cloves and a little gentle oak.

Finish: Lighter and brighter than the palate, with a medium length. The finish offers notes of cacao nibs, toffee, slightly drying leather, a touch of smoke and malty sweetness.
