Alcohol content: 14.5%

It is brewed using old vine grapes produced from the winery's oldest Syrah, Grenache Noir, Carignan vines, and Carignan vines. The yield is deliberately reduced and the wine is aged in new oak barrels for at least 18 months. for a richer flavor. The wine is thick-bodied, with still smooth tannins, and fruity flavors of black cherry, raspberry, and blackcurrant, as well as very delicate smoke, mocha coffee, and mint flavors.

Chateau Capitoul is located in La Clape AOC, a small production area in Languedoc, southern France, and La Clape is also the first AOC in Languedoc to reach the Grand Cru level!! The pointed dome castle is its symbol and belongs to the 19th century. The Gothic-style building is also the iconic building of La Clape Iconic ~ The Grand Cru wine of a single Chateau Capitoul winery has accounted for 10% of La Clape AOC, which shows the high quality of the wine produced by the winery!

【La Clape AOC】

The La Clape legal production area is located in Aude (Aude) of Languedoc-Roussillon, a major wine-producing area in southern France. It is one of the Languedoc-Roussillon sub-regions with Grand Cru vineyards. The production area extends between Narbonne and the Mediterranean Sea, with a length of 17 kilometers and a width of 7 kilometers. The eastern coast is bounded by the low-latitude alluvial plain of Aude to the west and lakes to the south, with the highest altitude reaching Pech-Redon Castle at an altitude of 214 meters. This highland area has towering cliffs overlooking the endless ocean and gorges filled with pine forests, vineyards and scrubland.

The local semi-arid Mediterranean climate is dry and generous with sunshine and wind. It is one of the sunniest places in France, with 3,000 hours of sunshine per year. As a result, the area is simultaneously cooled by strong sea breezes, offsetting summer heat. In La Clape's range of soils, each grape has its own niche, with multiple soil types coexisting alternately.
