This wine comes from Saint-Emilion. Due to local regulations, there is no way to classify it or write the name of the origin on the wine label. It can only be simply labeled as Bordeaux Blanc, but this does not detract from the wonderful flavor of this wine at all. As soon as you enter the cup, you can smell the rich aroma of milk, caramel and toffee, followed by tropical fruit flavors such as pineapple and mango, and a hint of white flowers. The taste is smooth and the acidity is just right, with a slightly sweet after taste.

A complex and beautiful white with white peach-flower and pineapple, yet always reserved. Full-bodied, phenolic and tight. Lively finish.

The 2018 Magrez Fombrauge Blanc is a little subdued on first sniff, opening out to apple tart, ripe pears and nectarine notions plus wafts of coriander seed and waxed lemons. Medium-bodied, the palate has bags of zippy stone fruit and apple layers with a spicy undercurrent and long, refreshing finish.

The 2018 Magrez-Fombrauge Blanc is a bold, punchy white. Citrus peel, white flowers, mint and subtle earthy notes add character. In 2018, the Blanc retains a good bit of energy to play off the natural intensity and size of the vintage. The Blanc is an especially structured wine with a real sense of phenolic intensity, rather than an easygoing white. The blend is 40% Sémillon, 30% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sauvignon Gris.

All of the estates of predecessor Bernard Magrez follow the principle of manual operation, and with the help of famous wine consultant Michel Rolland, he produces surprisingly rich and full-bodied wines on barren land suitable for grape cultivation. Chateau Magrez Fombrauge is one of the best.

From Saint-Émilion, due to local regulations, there is no way to classify or write the name of the origin on the wine label, it can only be simply marked as Bordeaux Blanc. The wine ferments partly in egg-shaped tanks and partly in new oak barrels, where it is kept at 16-20°C for about 15 days. It is stirred once or twice a week and aged for 8-10 months. It is not filtered before packaging to preserve its original flavor.
