【Winemaking】

Domaine Bohrmann is dedicated to producing high-quality wines. Wines are typically vinified in the vineyards, not in the cellar. Grapes are hand-harvested, carefully sorted, and gently destemmed before being cold-pressed and fermented. The fermented must is then aged in oak barrels, and the wines are bottled unfiltered and un-besotted.

【Winery】

Domaine Bohrmann is a small, boutique winery located in the village of Meursault, a sub-appellation of the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy, France.

Founded in 2002 by Sofie Bohrmann, Domaine Bohrmann currently oversees the winery's daily management, wine promotion, and marketing, while Dimitri Blanc oversees vine cultivation and winemaking.

The Domaine Bohrmann vineyard covers 12 hectares, built on a soil of clay, gravel, and limestone. The winery boasts abundant groundwater and nutrient-rich soil, making it ideal for vine cultivation. Currently, the vineyard primarily cultivates Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Aligote grape varieties.

【Region】

Cromin is a site steeped in history, having been the property of a Cistercian monastery since the 12th century, when a quarry called Cromey was located on the site. Today, this southeast-facing vineyard boasts clay-rich soil with a topsoil up to a meter deep and a subsoil of large rocks. It is a flat, sunny, and early-ripening plot. Cromin is typically Bernard Bonin's first plot to harvest. The vines here are sheltered from direct sunlight by the Clos stone wall. Planted in 1972, they are the estate's latest vines. The name "Le Pré de Manche" alludes to the vineyard's location on the upper slopes, close to the plot.
