ZTSC061 Glenlivet 12 Year Old Double Oak Single Malt Whisky 40% 700ml (with giftbox)
Special price $350/bottle
Origin: Speyside
Alcohol content: 40%
Capacity: 700ml
Glenlivet 12-year-old single malt Scotch whisky showcases the classic style of Glenlivet. It is first aged in traditional wooden barrels and then in American oak barrels. It has a vanilla aroma, which gives the whisky a unique and smooth taste. The pure and cold water source from Josie's Well is rich in minerals, which helps the saccharification and fermentation process, and the high-necked lantern-shaped copper distiller also adds an elegant and delicate taste.
Aroma: A delicate blend of floral and fruity aromas, like a summer breeze. The aroma is full of charming tropical fruits, especially pineapple, and with age, it adds the soft and rich charm of steamed green plums and ripe apricots. Oak combines vanilla and stone fruit to balance the overall fruity aroma, leaving the aroma of charred barley.
Taste: A typical Speyside whisky taste, with gentle and soft summer fruits and spring flowers.
Flavor: Honeysuckle flowers slide softly across the taste buds, smooth and sweet fruit flavors, such as white peaches and pears cooked in vanilla syrup.
Finish: The taste of almond candy and fresh hazelnuts slowly spreads, and finally ends with a hint of spicy ginger.

The Glenlivet is located in the Speyside region of Scotland, UK, and is the world's top Scottish single malt whisky brand.
The Glenlivet was officially founded by George Smith in 1824 and is one of the earliest distilleries with a legal license. Before this, although the whiskey brewed by George Smith was illegal, it was appreciated by King George IV of England and became famous. In 1864, George Smit established a business relationship with the well-known whisky merchant Andrew P. Usher, and their cooperation led to The Glenlivet becoming one of the first distilleries to export whisky with great success. After George Smith's death in 1871, The Glenlive was taken over by his youngest son John Gordon Smith. At that time, a large number of distilleries emerged around the River Livet, and some competitors named their distilleries "Glenlivet" to enhance their own visibility. To this end, John Gordon Smith launched a long-term rights protection campaign, and finally in 1884 he cleared the name of The Glenlivet Distillery through litigation, making it the only Scottish whisky brand with the right to use the name "The Glenlivet".

In 1921, Captain Bill Smith Grant, the great-nephew of John Gordon Smith, took over The Glenlivet. Facing the dual challenges of the Great Depression and Prohibition in the United States, Captain Bill Smith Grant's unremitting efforts enabled The Glenlivet to gain a place in the American whiskey market. By the mid-20th century, whiskey produced by The Glenlivet accounted for half of all Scotch malt whiskey sales in the United States. Today, The Glenlivet is owned by the famous French Pernod Ricard and has become the best-selling malt whisky brand in the United States and the second best-selling single malt whisky producer in the world.

Alan Winchester has been brewing The Glenlivet since 1979. The experienced distiller was also awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the International Spirits Challenge in 2018. Under the guidance of Alan Winchester, the winery first soaked the Scottish barley in water for several days and then dried it after the barley germinated. The kiln-dried malt is then ground into powder and mixed in the mash tun with natural spring water from Josie’s Well to create the wort. The wort is then fermented in barrels made from Douglas fir (Oregon Pine) to produce a mash with an alcohol content of 8-9%. During the distillation process, the mash will be distilled in the Wash Still to produce a low-alcohol wine with an alcohol content of 20-22%, and these low-alcohol wines will continue to be distilled in the Spirit Still. The liquid obtained after distillation and cooling will be divided into head liquid, center liquid and tail liquid, and only the center liquid will be put into selected European oak barrels and American oak barrels for aging. From its inception to the present, Glenlivet has always adhered to the concept of "slow work and fine work", using professional standards, exquisite craftsmanship and rigorous attitude to create high-quality whiskey.
