ZTSC198 - Glenlivet Distiller's Reserve Triple Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky With Box
Special price $438/bottle
Origin: United Kingdom
Alcohol content: 40%
Capacity: 1000ml
The Glenlivet Triple Cask Winemaker's Reserve is brewed from three types of casks (sherry casks, American oak casks and European oak casks). With the equal effect of the three types of oak casks, the winemaker's reserve achieves a harmonious balance of fruitiness and aroma.
Taste: The taste is sweet and mellow, full of ripe pear fruit aroma and soft fudge aroma. One sip will give you a full taste of pear fruit, with the spicy aroma of orange marmalade and a slightly dry taste. The finish is marzipan and fresh hazelnuts. The whisky is "fruity, smooth and balanced".

The Glenlivet is located in the Speyside region of Scotland, UK, and is the world's top Scottish single malt whisky brand.
The Glenlivet was officially founded by George Smith in 1824 and is one of the earliest distilleries with a legal license. Before this, although the whiskey brewed by George Smith was illegal, it was appreciated by King George IV of England and became famous. In 1864, George Smit established a business relationship with the well-known whisky merchant Andrew P. Usher, and their cooperation led to The Glenlivet becoming one of the first distilleries to export whisky with great success. After George Smith's death in 1871, The Glenlive was taken over by his youngest son John Gordon Smith. At that time, a large number of distilleries emerged around the River Livet, and some competitors named their distilleries "Glenlivet" to enhance their own visibility. To this end, John Gordon Smith launched a long-term rights protection campaign, and finally in 1884 he cleared the name of The Glenlivet Distillery through litigation, making it the only Scottish whisky brand with the right to use the name "The Glenlivet".

In 1921, Captain Bill Smith Grant, the great-nephew of John Gordon Smith, took over The Glenlivet. Facing the dual challenges of the Great Depression and Prohibition in the United States, Captain Bill Smith Grant's unremitting efforts enabled The Glenlivet to gain a place in the American whiskey market. By the mid-20th century, whiskey produced by The Glenlivet accounted for half of all Scotch malt whiskey sales in the United States. Today, The Glenlivet is owned by the famous French Pernod Ricard and has become the best-selling malt whisky brand in the United States and the second best-selling single malt whisky producer in the world.

Alan Winchester has been brewing The Glenlivet since 1979. The experienced distiller was also awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the International Spirits Challenge in 2018. Under the guidance of Alan Winchester, the winery first soaked the Scottish barley in water for several days and then dried it after the barley germinated. The kiln-dried malt is then ground into powder and mixed in the mash tun with natural spring water from Josie’s Well to create the wort. The wort is then fermented in barrels made from Douglas fir (Oregon Pine) to produce a mash with an alcohol content of 8-9%. During the distillation process, the mash will be distilled in the Wash Still to produce a low-alcohol wine with an alcohol content of 20-22%, and these low-alcohol wines will continue to be distilled in the Spirit Still. The liquid obtained after distillation and cooling will be divided into head liquid, center liquid and tail liquid, and only the center liquid will be put into selected European oak barrels and American oak barrels for aging. From its inception to the present, Glenlivet has always adhered to the concept of "slow work and fine work", using professional standards, exquisite craftsmanship and rigorous attitude to create high-quality whiskey.
