【Les Comtes de Ribeauville】
Les Comtes de Ribeauville is a renowned winery in the Alsace region of France and is part of the *Cave de Ribeauville* co-operative. Founded in 1895, it is one of the oldest and most influential wine cooperatives in France, created by a coalition of local winegrowers with the aim of making high-quality wines together.
Cdr is the first co-operative structure in France, founded in 1895. It was founded by 44 families of Alsace winemakers who came together.
With 41 families continuing to run the CDR until Ikea, the history of the family has been written for more than 128 years and is the history of dedicated and passionate winemakers.

Alsace is located in the north-east of France, between the Rhine River and the Vosges. The Rhine River forms the natural border between Germany and France.
Alsace is divided into three main regions, namely the Alsace AOC, the Alsace Grand Cru AOC and the Cremant d' Alsace. Established in 1962, the Alsace Grand Cru AOC accounts for about 70% of the region's production, mostly white wines. The Grand Cru d'Alsace appellation was established in 1975, with additional Grands Crus added in 1983, 1992 and 2007. Today there are 51 Grand Cru vineyards in Alsace, which account for only 4% of Alsace's total production.
The Vosges Mountains are the driest wine-producing region in France, blocking the humid air from the north-west and north-west of the country.
As there is no ocean to regulate the temperature in the inland area, the temperature difference between day and night is favourable for the growth of white grapes, which retains their acidity well, resulting in a round, thick white wine. 90% of Alsace's production is white wine, which is made in steel barrels to preserve the fruity and floral aromas.
