【German White Wine】
【Century-Old Prestigious Estate X Millennia-Old Premium Region】
【Famous Wine Region of Pfalz】
【Aromatic Grape Blend of Riesling and Gewürztraminer】
German Riesling white wine has long been beloved for its sweet fruit aromas and refreshing acidity. Michel Schneider Winery blends Riesling with Gewürztraminer, which not only balances the wine's sweetness but also enhances its fruitiness. Gewürztraminer, another aromatic grape variety, is renowned for its distinctive lychee notes and subtle rose undertones. Blending these two grapes elevates the wine's flavour complexity and aromatic depth, making it the perfect summer white wine choice! Two pleasures for the price of one! Happy Weekend – another splendid white wine to savour!
Riesling stands as one of Germany's most iconic grape varieties. Compared to other renowned international varieties like Chardonnay, it exhibits pronounced fruitiness and acidity. Riesling-based wines typically feature lower alcohol content and distinct fruit aromas, while their delicate flavours vividly reflect terroir differences even in sweet wines. The aromatic Gewürztraminer, a native German variety, frequently displays rich notes of lychee and rose. Its Chinese name, ‘Qiongyaojiang,’ translates to ‘Jade Nectar’ – ‘Qiongyao’ derives from the Classic of Poetry, signifying precious jade, thus describing the grape's exquisite beauty.
【Michel Schneider, a renowned estate with a century of history】

Since 1869. For over 150 years, Michel Schneider has stood for high-quality varietal wines whose character is unforgettable. The combination of traditional and modern production methods allows us to vinify our wines slowly and gently. Our red wines mature in classic barriques (traditional oak barrels). Consequently, these wines develop subtle spicy notes, becoming particularly rounded and harmonious. Our varietal wines are the perfect accompaniment to round off everyday occasions. For those who appreciate the aroma of wine without consuming alcohol, the estate also thoughtfully offers non-alcoholic red, rosé, and white wines.

Pfalz
Grape cultivation in the Palatinate dates back to Roman times. Before the phylloxera epidemic ravaged Europe's vineyards, the region's white wines ranked among the world's most prized. Established in 1869, Michel Schneider boasts nearly 150 years of history, maintaining rigorous standards for both grapes and winemaking, offering assured quality.
Compared to other wine-producing nations like France, Italy, and Spain, Germany lies in Europe's relatively colder northern regions. To achieve the necessary sunlight hours and temperatures for grape ripening, the vast majority of vineyards are situated in the southwest of Germany. The Pfalz region is Germany's second-largest wine-producing area, occasionally ranking as the largest. Situated in southwestern Germany, it borders the Rheinhessen region to the north and France's Alsace region to the south. Protected by mountain ranges, the Pfalz enjoys a climate closely resembling the Mediterranean, characterised by warmth, abundant sunshine, and minimal risk of late or winter frost damage.
