Torbreck Vintners is located in the Barossa Valley region of South Australia. The Barossa Valley is famous worldwide for its Shiraz, and the great terroir, coupled with the noble philosophy of winemaking, has led to a proliferation of Barossa Valley wineries, including Penfolds, Jacobs Creek, Grant Burge and many others, whose Shiraz consistently ranks among Australia's finest. Penfolds, Jacobs Creek, Grant Burge and many others, whose Shiraz is consistently ranked among Australia's finest wines and has its own distinctive character. In this environment, Torbreck Vintners, although established in 1994, has only been around for a few years. In this environment, Torbreck Vintners, although founded in 1994, has been making world-beating wines for only a few years. at the end of 2004, Robert parker rated three Torbreck Vintners wines as 99/99+, while six wines scored 90 points or more, which was unprecedented and another testament to the quality of the wines of Torbreck Vintners.
American wine collector David Sokolin's book In the book ‘Investing in Wine’ by American wine collector David Suckling, Torbreck Vintners' wines accounted for four of the 38 red wines in Australia's ‘Investment Grade Wines’ (IGW): The Factor, Descendant, Les Amis and RunRig. Of these, the RunRig is one of the world's most famous wines, and has become a masterpiece of modern Australian classics. In addition, the comic strip ‘Drops of God’ also featured Woodcutter's Shiraz, the house's first vintage, making Tobacco's name familiar to aficionados. Woodcutter's Shiraz has become a true ambassador for Torbeck because of its excellent value for money.
Torbreck Vintners was founded in 1994 by David Powell, who was born and raised in Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia, and studied Economics at university before falling in love with wine through his uncle's guidance. Afterwards, in order to broaden his horizons and refine his winemaking skills, he embarked on a 10-year learning journey. In addition to travelling to famous wineries in Europe, Australia, and California, he also spent a long period of time working at different famous wineries, accumulating his winemaking philosophy over time. However, apart from working in California and Australia, where he was paid, there was no pay for working in France and other European wineries, so he became a lumberjack in the forests of Scotland in order to raise money for his travelling expenses. In honour of his long career as a lumberjack, the winery was named after Torbreck, the Scottish forest where he worked.
In 1992 David Powell discovered and sorted out some dry aged vines, and it was his involvement in viticulture and winemaking that led to the development of a region of excellence where traditional winemaking techniques are in harmony with the unique characteristics of the soils.Torbreck Vintners is a New World boutique wine, as opposed to some of the mass-produced Australian wines. David Powell is a dedicated owner of a small vineyard that he personally manages and uses the grapes from the finest old vines in the Barossa Valley to produce limited production boutique wines of the highest quality, comparable to the traditional and refined wines of the North Rhone region of France. The wines are comparable in flavour to the traditional and refined wines of the North Rhone region of France. Today, David Powell is one of Australia's geniuses in making red wines in the style of the French Rhone Valley wines. torbreck Vintners later sold part of the winery due to capital needs, but David Powell and the new shareholders did not see eye to eye and he left the winery that he had built. David Powell is now owned by Pete Kight.

In terms of winemaking, the winery's winemaking philosophy is based on the idea that quality wines are made in the vineyards by nurturing them before bottling. As a result, the grapes used for winemaking are mostly sourced from old vine vines, which are selected from different sub-regions of the Barossa Valley. The winery determines the harvest date based on the ripeness of the grapes, so that the grapes come off the vines with optimal tannins, acidity and physiological ripeness. Once the grapes have been harvested, the winery uses very traditional winemaking techniques, starting with gentle de-stemming of the grapes, which are then slowly pumped into fermentation vessels with open tops, rotated twice a day, and forcibly and completely decanted once a day. At the end of the fermentation process, all the skins are pressed in a single basket, and malolactic and lactic fermentation takes place spontaneously in the vats, using strains indigenous to each single vineyard. None of the wines are clarified or filtered before bottling.

Torbreck Vintners have earned a reputation for quality in just over two decades, and today can proudly claim that Australia produces boutique wines that would satisfy the French. As well as taking the Barrossa Valley's classic Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro red wines to the next level, they also make white wines such as Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne, all of which are no match for France's. In 2008, David Powell finally realised that all the work involved in growing, vinifying and bottling is done in-house. In 2008, David Powell realised his wish to grow, vinify and bottle his wines on his own estate. This heartfelt boutique winery has been described by wine expert Robert Parker as "Torbreck Vintners wines are a model for modern Australian reds and whites, utilising grapes from the finest old-growth trees in the Barrossa Valley to produce wines that combine the purest fruit flavours with the finest balance. The wines they will be releasing are sure to be some of the finest on the planet."
The winery's signature wine is Run Rig, made from 120 to 160 year old vines, with powerful tannins similar to those found in the Tuscany region of Italy. It was successfully listed in the "Top 25 Australian Wines" in the prestigious Wine Spectator magazine.

The winery has always been committed to making some of the world's best tasting "Rhone Valley style" wines, with grapes sourced exclusively from the Barossa Valley, as recognised by the wine press in Europe, the Americas and Australia. The vast majority of the vines are grown in dry conditions, almost all of which are 80-125 years old, and are hand-cultivated and hand-harvested.
The winery is one of the few to have received four full 100-point scores from Robert Parker and is rated ‘one of the top 100 wineries in the world’.
This Cuvee Juveniles is a multi-varietal blend from TORBRECK, inspired by the French GSM_Grenache, Mataro (Mourvedre) and Shiraz from the South Rhone, with the addition of Counoise and Carignan, and grapes from Lyndoch, Gomersal, Seppeltsfield, Marlborough, Bordeaux, Bordeaux, Bordeaux, Bordeaux and Bordeaux. The grapes are sourced from vineyards in Lyndoch, Gomersal, Seppeltsfield, Marananga, Greenock, some of which are 100 years old. The grapes from each vineyard are fermented separately, blended in stainless steel tanks and malolactically fermented, then aged in French oak casks, with no filtration or clarification prior to bottling, to bring more flavour and layers to the wine.
