Taste: Deep ruby red, smelling D rust at the beginning, after 20mins, it turns into chocolate, the aroma of cigars, and after 45mins, the wine begins to really liberate, with the floral fragrance of buried roses~~
The first impression of the entrance is that it is full of vitality, smoky, and cigar flavors. Of course, the fruity flavor is dominant, 70-80%, cloth and blackberry, and there are several changes in the wine system: 15min, 30min, 45min , 1hr The taste is different every 15 minutes. The latter part has the taste of coffee beans in medium roasted . It is worth mentioning that the acidity is right. It is very comfortable to drink from the beginning to the end, and it is as smooth as buried silk. Under the premise of strong tannin and wine body, it is very wrong! After drinking, it is confirmed that the 2014 Pomerol is in good condition. No wonder Robert Parker gave Pomerol a high score of 94~~
【Chateau Tailhas. Pomerol】
Chateau Tailhas is only 11 hectares and belongs to the family-owned winery on the southern slopes of Pomerol. The silty soil mixed with fine gravel can be said to be the traditional characteristic of Pomerol. The average age of the trees is 40 years old, and the grapes are picked by hand. At the end of the winemaking process, it will be aged in new oak barrels for 16 months, and then placed in the cellar for 2 years before being launched on the market, making the quality of the wine more stable and guaranteed!
Pomerol is the smallest of the major wine regions in Bordeaux, with a mere 800 hectares of grape plantings, which is nothing compared to the 5,000 hectares of its neighbor St Emilion, although Well, Pomerol also has well-known wineries, including Petrus, Le Pin, Trotanoy!!
The 784 hectares of grape planting area is indeed a bit small, but the terroir of each Pomerol production area is not the same at all, and the density and size of the gravel in the soil affect the flavor of the wine. Going west along the production area, you will find that the sand content of the soil is getting higher and higher⬆, but it does not mean that the higher the sand content, the stronger the flavor of the wine. Just like Saint-Emilion, the Pomerol region is mainly planted with Merlot. However, this method of mainly planting Merlot also has the risk of reducing yields, because Merlot has a shorter flowering period than Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc is earlier and more susceptible to spring frost weather.
