Winery

Alexis Lichine (Lingzhi Winery) is named after the legendary wine master Alexis Lichine. He was born in 1913 in a banker family in St. Petersburg, Russia. He immigrated to the United States after the October Revolution and later moved to France, where he became an important promoter of French wine in the United States. He published "Guide to French Wines and Vineyards" in 1951 and was named "Person of the Year" by Decanter magazine in 1987.
The winery itself does not have its own vineyards, but cooperates with growers in the Bordeaux production area, and the winemaking team tracks the quality of the grapes throughout the harvest period to obtain the best fruits. The wine range covers regional table wines, premium wines, noble wines and sparkling wine series, and this Crémant belongs to its sparkling wine product line.
Region

Crémant de Bordeaux is Bordeaux's official sparkling wine appellation and was officially certified by the AOC in April 1990. Covering more than 500 communes in Bordeaux, the appellation is one of the most geographically extensive sparkling wine regions in France.
This region makes sparkling wine from the same traditional varieties as Bordeaux's still wines. Regulations require a secondary fermentation in the bottle using the traditional Champagne method (méthode traditionnelle). The clay-limestone soils and mild maritime climate of the Between the Seas region provide ideal conditions for making sparkling wine.
Winemaking

The grapes are harvested by hand and transported to the winery in small baskets. The first alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a strictly controlled temperature of 16–18°C to preserve the varietal aromas. This is followed by a secondary fermentation in the bottle (traditional Champagne method), where the wine is aged on the lees for approximately 9 to 12 months, before being disgorgement (dégorgement) and adding the liqueur de dosage (liqueur de dosage). The wine is recommended to be consumed within 2 years of harvest to enjoy its freshness.
Tasting Note
Aroma: Harmonious and refined, weaving together notes of peach, strawberry, raspberry, citrus, and spring blossoms.
Palate: Soft, restrained, and elegant, with a smooth texture, hints of fruit and berry flavors, a pleasant mineral acidity, and a rounded finish.
