Captain Morgan is a rum originally produced in the Caribbean. Its name comes from Captain Henry Morgan, a legendary figure and outstanding adventurer who loved seeking thrills and sailed the Caribbean Sea in the mid-17th century. The honors he received included: Admiral, Knight, and Deputy Governor of Jamaica. Captain Morgan rum is named after him to highlight its unique qualities—perfect for those who seek excitement, adventure, and enjoyment.

The boldest and most successful pirate of the 17th-century Caribbean, Henry Morgan was born in Wales in 1635. Driven by a quest for wealth and adventure, he set sail for the Americas, where his pirate career spanned legendary exploits from the Caribbean island of Curaçao to Panama City and Jamaica. As Britain's most successful military leader, Henry Morgan attracted countless pirates as followers and earned the respect of nobles and governors. In 1674, Charles II granted him a knighthood and appointed him governor of Jamaica. Due to his generosity and social skills, Henry Morgan was respected by Jamaican rum producers. Captain Morgan was passionate about entertainment and adventure, and his followers also enjoyed themselves to the fullest in their spare time.
