【Chateau Beaumont】

Chateau Beaumont was founded in 1772, but it wasn’t until 1824 that the first vines were planted. From 1830 to 1847, the Marquis d'Aligre owned the estate and tripled the vineyard area. Soon after, the Bonnin brothers took control of the estate and built a Renaissance-style castle. Over the next 120 years, the castle was bought and sold several times. ChateauBeaumont was sold for the 12th time in 1986, when the Grand Millesimes de France purchased the estate. Grand Millesimes de France is a joint venture between the Suntory Group and the Castel Group.
Chateau Beaumont is planted to 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. It has one of the largest vineyards in the Médoc, covering 114 hectares.
