Introduction: Chateau Grand Medoc (Great Medoc Winery) has a long history and can be called a model of Haut-Medoc (Upper Medoc) Bourgeoisie! The winery's ancient origins date back to the 17th century and the first vines were planted around 1616. For two centuries the land was the property of several great noble families and experienced a period of prosperity. In the 1950s, due to the negligent management of the managers and the destruction of historical behavior, the winery gradually declined. Fortunately, the winery was taken over by the Riffaud family. They have invested a lot of effort in the winery for more than 50 years, making the winery possible Revive the prestige. The winery is now jointly managed by the descendants of the Riffaud family and is a traditional French family winery. Chateau Grand Medoc was awarded Cru Bourgeois (middle-level winery) by L'Alliance des Crus Bourgeois (intermediate winery alliance) in 2012.
Taste: This Bordeaux red wine is deep purple in color. It exudes rich fruit aromas such as black currant, fig and juniper berries, with a hint of vanilla, roasted, smoked and cedar aromas. It is very harmonious and elegant! The palate is tight, the oak and fruit aromas are well balanced, the aftertaste is long, and it has good aging potential! A classic Haut-Medoc wine!
Aging potential: more than 10 years
Food pairing: red meat, cheese, etc.
Suggested sobering time: 45 minutes or more
