Deep ruby red in color, with distinct brick-red and amber hues at the rim, reflecting its mature, aged character.
The aroma is richly layered, initially revealing notes of dried blackcurrants, plums, and figs, followed by hints of damp earth, black truffle, tobacco, leather, and a subtle hint of cedar.
The body is medium to full-bodied, with a round and smooth mouthfeel. The acidity remains lively, and the tannins are silky smooth, offering flavors of dark chocolate, spices, and ripe plums, with the structure remaining well-integrated.
The finish is long and earthy, accompanied by subtle notes of dried fruit and a smoky oak aftertaste—truly elegant.

【Jean Luc Thunevin, Founder of Garage Wine】
Jean-Luc Thunevin rose to stardom in the wine world in less than a decade with his renowned garage wine, Château Valandraud. This success may have stemmed from Jean-Luc Thunevin’s passion for crafting exceptional wine, which was ignited while tasting Le Pin from Pomerol and other wines from a small vineyard in Pomerol. Driven by his passion for wine, his willpower, and his determination, he produced the first vintage of Château Valandraud in 1991. That year marked the beginning of Jean-Luc Thunevin’s great adventure and dazzling success; he went on to become the founder and winemaking consultant for many other “garage wines.” The 2010 Château Valandraud, crafted by Jean-Luc Thunevin, even earned a score of 97 points from Robert Parker!
