Friends around me are afraid of drinking red wine for two reasons. The red wine has a high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, and they are afraid of acidity! The tannins in red wine are too high, and they are not used to the tannins feeling like fruit in the mouth. Then you can introduce this Chateau Paret, produced in the cost-effective production area of Bordeaux, Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux. This area mainly produces Merlot.
The entire red wine grape ratio is 90% Merlot 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. It smells juicy, fresh cranberry, and strawberry. The wine has a medium body and is smooth and light in the mouth.
The tannins are medium to low, and there is a nice little smokiness at the end, which adds more layers to the wine. It doesn’t just have a fruity aroma, so it smells sweet but not greasy.

The vineyard is located in the Castillon region of Bordeaux, on the edge of the Castillon Saint-Emilion appellation, and is owned by the Fauchey family, who have been making wine in the Bordeaux region since the 17th century. Until World War II, the estate mainly produced liquor for the military. Currently, the vineyards are planted mainly to Merlot, a grape best suited to the region's climate and soil.
【Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux】

Produced from the same limestone plateau as Saint-Emilion east of Bordeaux, it has a unique geographical location, facing south, with an altitude difference of more than 100 meters. This limestone, because it is so porous, is able to absorb excess moisture and return it to the vineyard in dry conditions, producing wines with mineral notes and a delicate taste. The soil is generally not very thick in this area and the limestone remains very close to the surface. The vines therefore enjoy the benefits of the region's porous limestone.
