The so-called Single Cask is a whisky from a single cask. In most cases, it will not be diluted with water. Cask Strength is directly bottled. Tasting this kind of whiskey feels like tasting liquor directly extracted from a barrel. There are no two identical barrels in the world. Even if they are made of the same wood, the whiskey in the barrel may be different due to the different storage positions of the barrels, the humidity and temperature. Therefore, the style of each barrel of whiskey may be unique. Even whiskeys produced from the same batch of barrels may have slight differences. The whiskeys that can be launched under the name of single cask must have been strictly selected by the experts of the distillery, because the number of whiskeys that can be bottled in single barrels is actually not very large.
The value of single cask lies in the differences and quantity. Each finished product from a cask may have its own style and characteristics. These styles may be unique and you may not be able to find them in another batch of whiskey. The capacity of each whiskey cask is limited. The largest butt is only about 480 liters. In addition, Angel’s Share steals the wine. The same cask can only produce less than 700 bottles of single cask. As mentioned before, there are not many whiskeys that can be bottled from a single cask, so it is rare and precious.

These inscriptions were written by soldiers who thanked the soldiers for climbing the long and steep slope and having a place to rest. Fettercairn Distillery, founded in 1824, is one of the first distilleries in Scotland to obtain a legal license. When the temperature of the wine slowly drops, or when water and ice are added, these esters will gradually condense into a white suspension, and the whiskey will not look good.
In fact, apart from being an eyesore, these white suspended solids have no impact on health. However, when some buyers see it, they will be shocked that they have bought fake wine with questionable quality, so most wineries use condensation treatment.
Esters are the main source of the aroma of spirits. While filtering to remove sediment, they also take away a lot of the original flavor of whiskey. Tracing back to the original Scotch whiskey industry, non-chill filtration is a natural mainstream, retaining the maximum value of aromatic substances such as esters and phenols produced during the whiskey making process. In order to maintain the best condition of non-cold-filtered whiskey, the alcohol concentration must be increased. By removing the cooling action, the original 40% alcohol concentration indicated on the general bottling is increased to more than 46%. This ensures that no white suspension is produced, but the cost is also relatively increased.
