Domaine Gagnepain (full name: Domaine de la Côte de Fasse) is a family-owned winery in the Chablis region of Burgundy, France, located near the village of Beine. It is renowned for its pure, minerally Chardonnay white wines. Founded in 1991 by Françoise Gagnepain and her children, Laurent and Isabelle, the winery began with just a few hectares of vineyards and has gradually expanded to approximately 14.5 hectares, primarily encompassing Petit Chablis and Chablis appellations. In 2016, with the arrival of third-generation owner Paul Gagnepain, the domaine expanded further, releasing its first Chablis Premier Cru in 2017. The domaine employs a "viticulture raisonnée" farming method, emphasizing soil cultivation, herb mulching, and precise pesticide application, all with a focus on respect for the environment and terroir.

2023 was a bountiful harvest year for the Chablis region. Warm and dry weather, particularly in the summer, produced abundant grape juice but relatively low acidity (lower than in 2021), challenging the winemaker to maintain the classic "Chablis style" of freshness and minerality. Domaine Gagnepain's Chablis 2023 successfully captured the year's sunny qualities, displaying lively fruit aromas and finely textured textures.
