【GlenAllachie】
Located in Aberlour, Speyside, Scotland, GlenAllachie is a relatively young distillery in Scotland. Designed by William-Delme Evans, it was built in 1967 by MacKinley McPherson Ltd, a subsidiary of Scottish & Newcastle. In February 1968, the distillery began its first production, with an alcohol output of about 3 million liters, and six months later, the number of stills was increased from 2 to 4. In 1985, the Invergordon Group acquired MacKinley McPherson and closed the GlenAllachie distillery. In 1989, Campbell Distillers acquired GlenAllachie and started production on April 24. In the decades since then, GlenAllachie's production has never been interrupted. Later, Pernod Ricard acquired Campbell Distillers, and GlenAllachie's whisky became an important ingredient in Chivas Brothers' Clan Campbell Whisky. In 2005, Chivas Brothers launched GlenAllachie single malt whisky. In 2017, whisky legend Billy Walke acquired GlenAllachie together with Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson, and they will lead GlenAllachie to continue to flourish.

Speaking of Billy Walker, almost everyone in the whisky circle knows him. He is recognized as the most talented bartender in Scotland. After selling BenRiach Liquor Company to Brown-Forman Company of the United States in 2015, almost everyone thought that Billy could retire peacefully, with success and brilliant results and enough money to enjoy his later years. However, Billy did not stop. In October 2017, Billy reorganized a passionate team and started a new journey with GlenAllachie Distillery. From BenRiach's white label to Glendronach and then to GlenAllachie, he is a well-deserved "magician" in the whisky circle.
Prior to this, GlenAllachie had never produced single malt wines since its establishment in 1967. It mainly supplied blended whiskies such as Clan Campbell, Chivas Regal and House of Lords Royal Whisky as base wines. Finally, in July 2018, Billy blended the first batch of single malt whisky brands issued by GlenAllachie Distillery from more than 100,000 barrels of inventory. In 2019, GlenAllachie won the Best Distillery of the Year, in 2020, Billy Walker won the Best Master Blender, and in 2021, GlenAllachie 10-Year Cask Strength won the World's Best Single Malt. In the same year, Billy also entered the Scottish Whisky Hall of Fame.
Although GlenAllachie does not have a very long history of brewing, the brewing team is full of passion and motivation, and is committed to brewing a single malt whisky that makes people proud. The water used to brew whisky at GlenAllachie is taken from the dam head about 3 kilometers away from the distillery. The water from Henshead and Blackstank flows into the Beachshach Burn sand river northeast of BenRinnes, which directly provides water for the distillery. GlenAllachie has a production capacity of 4 million liters, but they decided to slow down production and extend the fermentation time to 160 hours. This allows them to better understand the operation of the distillery and have more time to discover the characteristics of new wines.
