Region/Grade: France/Champagne
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
Alcohol content: 12.5%
Characteristics: 100% Chardonnay grapes, aged in the cellar for a minimum of three years. Freshness, sophistication, elegance and lightness characterize this Champagne. Very good as an aperitif.
Taste: Color is light yellow, slightly green. The nose is fresh with aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers. When in contact with the air, there is a faint apricot aroma. In the mouth it's fresh and beautiful, with hints of licorice and anise.

Hautvillers is ideally located in the heart of the Champagne region, 5 kilometers from Epernay, and occupies a dominant position among the vineyards. Its abbey is the home of the great chateau Dom Pérignon. The abbey where the first champagne was brewed around 1681. Thanks to the Benedictine monks. HAUTVILLERS has become the most famous village in the area, and its south-facing chalk slopes are also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

【Technological inheritance four generations of brewing family】
Hervé applies his expertise to present the authenticity, elegance and taste of Champagne and his wife Florence Gaubier is at the helm of the estate. Today, Pierre-Alexis and Chloé GOBILLARD and their children have joined the company to continue the style of the GOBILLARD brand. The chateau farm is located in Hautvillers, the cradle of Champagne, where the monk Dom Pérignon once lived. Our vines are spread across Hautvillers and Cumières and grow three grape varieties: Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay ).

【Premier Cru】
You may have seen the term "Grand Cru" or "Premier Cru" on bottles of Champagne you purchase. These terms refer to the status and location of the village from which the grapes used to make the wine come from. The word "Cru" is used in France to describe a vineyard, vineyard group or wine-making village. The terms Grand Cru and Premier Cru are derived from the Échelle des Cru system. The system was devised in 1920 following threats of riots from grapevine owners. They felt undervalued and unfairly treated as the big wineries demanded extremely low prices for their grapes. In an effort to create a stronger and fairer economic system, growers and producers finally agreed to work together, and the system was born. A bottle can only use the term "Grand Cru" if the grapes used come from 100% Grand Cru villages. Bottles labeled "Premier Cru" must be 100% Premier Cru or a blend of Grand and Premier.
