Henri Bourgeois founded Henri Bourgeois in Chavignol in the Loire Valley. Chavignol is known for its cheese. Henri Bourgeois is the most important grape grower and wine merchant in the area. The top wine in the Sancerre region is undoubtedly MD de Bourgeois. La Bourgeoise is delicious and excellent, and the grapes used are all picked from 50-year-old vines. Etienne Henri is made from the same quality grapes as La Bourgeoise, but needs to be fermented in new oak barrels. Sancerre d’ Antan is made from old vines planted in soil containing silica. In addition, Les Monts Damnes can also be used as a special collection. Grande Reserve is of excellent quality, but its grapes are both from the winery and purchased grapes. The red wines produced by Henri Bourgeois include both typical Henri Bourgeois and La Bourgeoise collection. The winery also produces some white wines made from late-harvest grapes.
