Introduction: Our sake brewery has several sake breweries, among which Hoshishazo in Kagoshima is famous for its specialty in brewing plum wine. This Chikancha plum wine is made from green tea steeped in the freshest hand-picked tea leaves from Kagoshima, and then infused with perfectly ripe plums. The wine is completely full-bodied and has no added flavors, colorings or sours. The wine has a fresh tea aroma and a soft taste.

The aroma of fresh green tea blends with the sweet and sour plum fruit. When the bottle is first opened, there is a slight bitterness of new tea. As the bottle is opened and left to rest, the tea aroma and plum flavor will gradually blend together, making the flavor more rounded and the aftertaste becoming sweeter.
