Gentle *pigeage* (punching down) is employed instead of vigorous *remontage* (pump-over) to minimize unnecessary oxygen exposure, thereby preserving the purest expression of the Chambolle *terroir*. Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron is situated in the heart of Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits. The estate’s history dates back to 1926, established following the marriage of Jean Confuron and a member of the Anne-Marie Bouchard family. Currently managed by Yves Confuron and his family, the estate encompasses approximately 8 hectares of vineyards across several key villages and Grand Cru sites, including the renowned Clos Vougeot and Romanée-Saint-Vivant. With Pinot Noir at its core, the estate possesses many precious, ancient vines (*Vieilles Vignes*); some of these Pinot Noir vines predate the estate's 1926 founding, and after nearly a century of maturation, they yield top-tier wines of profound depth and character.

Chambolle-Musigny is celebrated as one of the most elegant villages in the Côte de Nuits, renowned for a "feminine" style characterized by delicate aromatics, a silky texture, and captivating floral notes. The 2022 vintage was a rare "golden year" for Burgundy, offering both exceptional fruit ripeness and abundant yields.
