Kasteelberg’s vineyards are situated on the hillsides around the Riebeek Valley, a place influenced by dry climate, wind, and ancient rocky soils that give the wines the sunny fruitiness and dry texture common to Swartland. Fruity is dominated by pear, green lemon, with a little fennel seeds and herbal notes; on the mouth medium body, fresh acidity, clean fruit, close dry, crisp, with a little mouth texture
