【Winery】

The winery was founded by Shigehisa Kimura and his wife Mieko Kimura, a Japanese. Shige used to work as a sommelier at the Tokyo Hotel, originally working on the front line of restaurants to help customers open, talk, and match wine. Later he visited Champagne and Bordeaux and for the first time really felt the atmosphere of the vineyards and cellars, he began to think: wine is not just a wine on the table, there is a choice of land, craft and people behind it. So he and his wife left Japan to go to New Zealand to learn to grow grapes and make wine, eventually building their own brand in Marlborough

【Region】

The grapes are produced in the essence of Marlborough - the Wairau Valley, as this area has the largest temperature difference between day and night, and the wines are rich in layers.

【Winemaking】

Separate fermentation using two yeasts produces complex and diverse flavors, which are later matured in oak barrels for three months for added thickness on the palate. Has a beautiful citrus aroma.
