Lake Road Wines (often referred to as Lake Road Winery) is a multi-generational, family-owned wine producer headquartered in Gisborne, on the East Coast of New Zealand. Established in the mid-1970s, the winery evolved from a premium grape supplier into an independent brand recognized for creating expressive, award-winning New World wines.

Sourced predominantly from the Wairau Valley to capture the quintessential crisp, punchy, and high-acid style that New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is world-famous for.



【Winemaking】


Lake Road crafts their Reserve Pinot Noir to highlight the natural purity of the fruit. Instead of overpowering the wine with heavy oak, the winemakers focus on preserving the grape's pristine high acidity, delicate florals, and fine-grained tannins. The result is an approachable yet refined cool-climate red that offers fantastic immediate drinking pleasure.
No oak was used. The wine was kept entirely in stainless steel to maintain a crisp, clean profile. It was stabilized, lightly fined, and filtered relatively quickly post-fermentation to ready it for early bottling.


【Tasting Note】
Light floral notes of rose petal, plum and mocha highlights are backed by ripe strawberry, raspberry, black cherry and vanilla flavours. The palate is generous and inviting with dark bramble concentration balanced with restrained acidity and fine silky tannins. The finish is long and lingering with hints of savoury spice.
