Special Price: $1180/btl

Lanson was founded in 1760 by a magistrate,François Delamotte. He was succeeded by his son Nicholas-Louis in 1798 andformed a partnership with Jean-Baptiste Lanson, who gave the company the nameof Lanson et Cie in 1837. The company focused, as it still does today, onexporting champagne to foreign markets.
By the late 19th century, Lanson was supplyingchampagne by royal appointment to the courts of the UnitedKingdom, Sweden and Spain. Lanson remains a purveyor ofchampagne to the British royal family and retains the Royalwarrant of appointment (United Kingdom) which currently depictsthe coat of arms of Elizabeth II on its bottles.

Lanson Champagne is primarily Pinot Noir, with a minimum of 30% Chardonnay, creating a perfect balance of body and finesse. The estate boasts 150 hectares of vineyards and collaborates with growers across over 500 hectares. Grapes from diverse terroirs bring complexity and nuance to Lanson Champagne. 50% of the grapes come from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards in prestigious villages. The winery also boasts four presses, evenly distributed across the vineyards, to minimize oxidation and loss during transportation.
