How does Laphroaig single malt taste? Laphroaig embodies the best characteristics of Islay whisky, heavy oily malts with fierce medical notes, from peat smoke, iodine, algae and seaweed. A whisky with a lot of character that has long been advertised as either love or hate. The peat required for whisky production is sourced on the coast and in conjunction with peat moss and swamp myrtle, the Laphroaig whisky is famous for sweet, citrus-like and maritime flavors.

LAPHROAIG FOUR OAK IS A SMOOTH EXPRESSION OF OUR ISLAY SINGLE MALT SCOTCH.

Made from spirit aged in four types of barrels, it's a complex and full-bodied dram. Spirit is hand-selected from ex-Bourbon barrels, small quarter casks and large European oak hogsheads. A unique addition to the blend is whisky aged in virgin American oak.

A new innovation for Scotch whisky, the new oak lends powerful aromas of vanilla to this extraordinary peated Islay single malt. This complements the flavors of stewed fruit and the unmistakable medicinal, smoky notes that make Laphroaig so unique. Serve it as it is, or add a few cubes of ice.

Laphroaig 10 Year Old has been distilled the same way for 75 years. the malted barley is dried over an Islay peat fire where it gets its particularly rich flavour. It’s taste is first bold and smoky, followed by a hint of seaweed and a surprising sweetness. This full-bodied variant is the foundation of all Laphroaig expressions and comes with a long finish. malted barley is dried over a peat fire.
