Leeuwin Estate is one of the most famous wineries in Margaret River. The "Prelude Series" is different from the heavy and fruity style of South Australian wines. Instead, it is full of fresh fruit aroma. With dried flowers and herbs, the acidity is lively, with fresh red fruits and cherry-like, and the taste is rich and layered. Subtle notes of black cardamom, vanilla pod, cloves, dried rosemary and fennel add detail and complexity.

Leeuwin Estate is a winery in Margaret River, Western Australia One of the region’s founding wineries, Leeuwin Vineyards is a family winery that has earned an international reputation for its wines that rank alongside the world’s finest. Founded in 1973 by Denis and Tricia Horgan, the winery was mentored early on by Napa Valley’s Robert Mondavi. In 1974, the winery began cultivating nurseries and in 1975, vineyards were planted. Leeuwin Vineyards had its first commercial vintage in 1979. Leeuwin Vineyards’ wines were thrust into the global spotlight after its 1981 Art Series Chardonnay was featured in Decanter Magazine’s international blind tasting. Since then, Leeuwin Vineyards’ wines have won numerous awards and can now be found in top restaurants and vintners in 30 markets. Today, the winery is run by three generations of the founding family, who work hand in hand with a dedicated team of viticulturists and winemakers, always focusing on sustainable viticulture, showcasing the purity and clarity of the fruit to produce superior, expressive wines.
Both Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon are listed in the prestigious Langtons Classification of Australian Wine, which represents Australia's most sought-after wines based on consumer demand, collectible value and auction prices. Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay is included in the special title of "1st Classified", which is reserved for a small number of wines that represent Australia's most desirable and comparable to the world's top wines. James Halliday, a renowned Australian wine critic, included Leeuwin in his list of "Australia's Top 100 Wineries" and wrote: "Leeuwin Estate is the epitome of a family-owned winery that operates with the precision of a Swiss watch in every aspect of its business. It is in the winery of the year category..." Leeuwin Spirits has been inducted into the American Wine Art Hall of Fame, has been named "Winery of the Year" by Leeuwin Magazine and has been voted 98/100 in the International Wine Show's "Treasure Hall of Fame", and Wine Spectator has repeatedly included Leeuwin's Art Series Chardonnays in its "Top 100 Wines of the Year" list.
