Les Dauphins wines are crafted in France’s Rhône Valley
With its colourful retro style, Les Dauphins captures the “Joie de Vivre” of Paris in the Roaring 1920’s, a time when Paris was the festive capital of culture, and creativity was at its peak. Family winegrowers in the Dauphiné region joined forces together in the 1920’s and their wines quickly became very popular due to their fruit-forward palate-pleasing style.
Today, new generations of winegrowers in the southern Rhône Valley still work together to craft Les Dauphins with care, dedicacy for their terroirs and environment friendly practices.
【產區 Region】
The name “Les Dauphins” pays tribute to the terroir from which it comes, the former Dauphiné province in southeastern France. Our vineyards border the French Alps to the East, the Rhône River to the West and Provence to the South: some of the best plots in Southern Rhône. The climate here is typically warm and sunny with little rainfall, and the soils range from stony clay-limestone to sandy soil.
The Blanc from the wine-growing region the Rhône Valley presents itself in the glass in brilliant shimmering light yellow, golden yellow. To the nose, this Les Dauphins white wine reveals all sorts of lemons, apricots, white currants, mirabelles and pomelo.
On the palate, the Blanc of Les Dauphins starts wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. Light on its feet and complex, this crisp white wine presents itself on the palate. On the finish, this youthful from the wine-growing region of the Rhône Valley finally thrills with considerable length. There are again hints of pomelo and kumquat. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and limestone are added.
This elegant Blanc from France is a cuvée vinified from Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne and Viognier grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Rhône Valley. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. After harvesting, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
