A ripe but suggestive nose of dark cherries, dark chocolate, hot stones, cassis, brambleberry pie and bark. Yet, on the palate, this paints an altogether different picture, in which sleek tannins carry fresh layers of forest fruit long, through a compact, full-bodied palate. Powerful acidity steers it through to a restrained but chewy finish.

The sacred light that gives life to the vines, and even more so to the wines, is the meaning of Tenuta Luce's name in Italian: light. Since its birth in the early 1990s, Tenuta Luce has been entrusted with the mission of light, and in just over 20 years it has become a representative winery of Tuscany and a shining star that has conquered the global wine market.

The birth of Magpie Winery is an adventure story about a dream, which begins with two main characters, Vittorio Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi, who is honored as the “Father of American Wine”. The Frescobaldi family, which Vittorio supports, has been rooted in Tuscany for more than 700 years, and it is the family's honor and mission to preserve tradition, listen to the terroir, and pass on the art of winemaking here. Robert Mondavi's ancestors came from Italy, and it has always been the family's desire to return to their homeland and produce world-class Italian wines. In the early 1990's, the two men came together with the same dream to combine their passions and traditions to offer the world amazing wines in Montalcino, Italy, and Magpie Winery was born. The collaboration between these two giants of the wine world has attracted a lot of attention to Magpie and its distinctive winemaking philosophy has attracted a lot of attention. With wines of unique character and personality, it soon opened a new chapter in the history of Italian fine wines, and left its mark on the history of the world of fine wine.

Today, Lamberto Frescobaldi is responsible for the legacy of Magpie Winery. Influenced by Vittorio and Robert Mondavi, Lamberto Frescobaldi has a passion for wine, a vision and a talent for winemaking that is recognized by the public. Under his leadership, the Château has entered a new era of history.

Luce“ means ”light" in Italian, a name derived from Margrit Mondavi, wife of Robert Mondavi. Margrit was inspired by a heavy rainfall when she witnessed a ray of light piercing through the dark clouds, dispersing the darkness and illuminating the earth.

Light drives out darkness and is the source of life, and the symbol of the Château Magpie, a golden sun, carries this meaning. The symbol of the sun, with its 12 flames, originates from the totem of the sun on the altar of the Santo Spirito church in Florence. This sacred symbol has been passed down through the centuries as a symbol of the Tuscan people's belief in and pursuit of light. The birth of a legendary wine is dependent on the light that energizes the grapes and ultimately the wine. Nowadays, the ambitious Luqui winery aspires to be this light and to shine the light of wine in people's hearts.

Luce Della Vite is the winery's flagship wine. It has always been sought after by drinkers in the market and is also one of the hot wines collected in wine cabinets. The grapes are harvested from the most prime areas in the south of the winery. The grapes are perfectly mature, creating a deep wine color, rich and fresh fruits, accompanied by elegant body and good tannins. The grapes are blended with Sangiovese and Merlot in a half-and-half ratio and aged in barrels for 24 months, 80% of which are new barrels. Luce, the sunshine, is the first wine to use Merlot and Sangiovese in the Montalcino area. It dares to challenge the regulations of not using 100% Sangiovese in the most famous Brunello producing area in Italy, and the result is a new height of Italian wine, the amazing Finest Super-Tuscan!
