Clear white wine is made from ripened grapes in the Cognac region. After being heated and boiled in a copper still, it is transformed into eaux-de-vie. This is the process of distillation.
To ensure the purity of the taste, Martell uses traditional copper stills to heat the wine. As it boils, the vapor rises to the top of the still, passes through the swan neck and enters the coil where it condenses and forms a clear, warm liquor. Among the many outstanding Cognac wineries, only Martell is a clear wine distilled to remove all sediments and impurities to produce extremely fine and pure eaux-de-vie, showing pure grape fruit aroma.
Martell insists on using only barrels made of close-growth oak, which are unique and give the eaux-de-vie a soft, balanced aroma of vanilla, dried fruits, red fruits, sweet and sour sauce and flowers. .
