ZF421-Piper Heidsieck Essentiel Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut NV
$480/btl

Piper-Heidsieck Champagne is one of the world's three major Champagne brands. The Piper-Heidsieck Champagne House was founded on July 16, 1785, in Reims by Florens-Louis Heidsieck. At that time, Florens-Louis Heidsieck was already a professional winemaker and had even contributed a bottle of his own wine to Marie Antoinette. Reims, the production area of Piper-Heidsieck Champagne, is the economic capital of the Champagne region and a historically significant city in France, often referred to as the "City of Kings." Since the 11th century, every French king had to be crowned in this "coronation city." In 1828, the founder of Piper-Heidsieck Champagne House passed away, and the winery was taken over by his niece, Christian Heidsieck, and cousin, Henri Guilaume Piper. In 1838, Christian Heidsieck married Henri Guilaume Piper, and the winery was renamed "Piper-Heidsieck" in October 1839. In the late 1980s, Piper-Heidsieck became part of a wine and spirits group, and in 2011 it was acquired by EPI (Europeenne de Participation Industrielle), a privately held French luxury brand.
Today, Piper-Heidsieck is a true "fashion party maker," a staple at star-studded events such as award ceremonies, fashion shows, and film premieres. Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe once said, "Chanel No. 5 lulls me to sleep, Piper-Heidsieck wakes me up," highlighting her fondness for the winery and its unique charm.

A luxurious blend of up to 35% precious, aged Reserve Wines, perfectly embodying the clarity and depth of a top-tier terroir.
The "Essentiel" series, crafted by award-winning master winemaker Émilien Boutillat, is tailor-made for Michelin-starred restaurants and discerning wine connoisseurs.
Made with an extremely low sugar content (approximately 4 g/L) from Extra Brut and aged for over 36 months on lees, it offers a captivating interplay of toasted almonds, baked bread, and cool mineral notes.
