Tasting Notes: The wine is purplish red.  Furthermore, the nose is reminiscent of thearoma of small red fruits.  In the end,it tastes soft and round.  It isrecommended to pair this wine with delicate dishes such as meat pies, goulash,roast veal or cheeses with cooked pasta such as Gouda cheese.

Winery information:

 DomainePoulleau is a 4.5 hectare estate in Volnay, on the grounds of the Cote deBeaune appellation, producing the wine "Les Mondes Rondes".  The appellation is the eponymous product ofthe wider Burgundy region, so it could easily be mistaken for the Cote deBeaune Village AOC.  It is indeeddifferent from the latter, as only wines produced in the higher parts of thehills behind Beaune are allowed to have an appellation (sans Villages AOC), inthe name "Climat" or "Lieux-Dits".  The area is located above the ChancellorMountain in Bonn, at an altitude of 300m to 370m.  "Les Mondes Rondes" is the heart ofthe appellation, made from vines harvested by hand over 25 years, the wine isaged on lees in oak barrels and undergoes a slight malic fermentation,then  With light filtration, the outputis about 30,000 bottles per year.
