【Chateau Preuillac】
The winery was founded in 1869 by Edmond Addé, a knight of agricultural merit, and the quality of its wines was soon recognised. As early as 1879, the success of Poulayac's wines began with awards in Paris, followed by Bordeaux in 1882. Poulayac wines also made a name for themselves internationally, winning awards in Antwerp in 1885 and in Liege in 1906!

In the early 1970s, the château entered a period of renaissance under the leadership of Raymond Boüet. Boüet rediscovered the potential of the château, which had been founded by Edmond Addé in 1869, having overlooked its viticultural history. After Buet, his family took over in 1984 until 1998, when the estate was bought by the Mau and Dirkzwager families. Under the direction of Jean-Christophe Mau and with the help of Stéphane Derenoncourt, major renovations were carried out. In 2014, the château was sold to SAS Vin Plus, which has benefited from the expertise of Derenoncourt Consultants to maintain continuity of work.
【中級酒莊分級】
The history of the Crus Bourgeois dates back centuries, when Bordeaux merchants, benefiting from tax exemptions under British rule, acquired the best plots of land in the Médoc and formed the ‘Crus des Bourgeois’. This hierarchy began in the 19th century and gradually took shape, culminating in an official classification in 1932, which has been used as a reference for decades. In this ranking, Château Preuillac is classified as a Cru Bourgeois.
It will be upgraded to the more prestigious Cru Bourgeois Superieur in 2020. The winery adheres to the tradition of artisanal winemaking to ensure that the wines are of outstanding quality and distinctive flavour. The wines are harmonious and fully expressive of their fruit. Carefully vinified, Château Preuillac's wines are powerful and full-flavoured, with aromas of toast, vanilla, ripe red fruits and leather.
