Saint-Jean-d'Ardières is a historic wine-producing village in the Rhône department in southern France. Its history is inextricably linked to the region's rich medieval religious culture, aristocratic estates, and centuries-old winemaking tradition. Dating back to the Middle Ages, the village's ancient churches (such as the Église de la Nativité-de-Saint-Jean-Baptiste, dating back to the late 11th and early 12th centuries, were once directly under the jurisdiction of the renowned Royal Rhône Abbey, bearing witness to the close connection between early settlement and religion.

In order to integrate local resources and promote regional development, Saint-Jean-d'Ardières officially merged with the neighboring Belleville on January 1, 2019, to form a new municipality—Belleville-en-Beaujolais. Saint-Jean-d'Ardières became the "commune déléguée" of the new municipality, continuing to preserve its long winemaking tradition and historical identity.

Besides its famous Beaujolais red wines, the region also produces high-quality Burgundy regional white wines (Bourgogne Blanc/Chardonnay).

Through manual or precise mechanical pruning, vine growth is controlled to ensure that each Chardonnay vine receives sufficient and concentrated nutrients. For white grape varieties, the harvest time is usually precisely timed to achieve the golden balance between sugar and refreshing acidity. To highlight the white floral and fresh citrus aromas of Chardonnay, the winemaking process often utilizes modern temperature-controlled stainless steel vats.
