The malt whisky is aged in sherry and bourbon barrels for more than 15 years, and then matured in Japanese Mizunara barrels. Rich aroma of maltose, nectar and blueberry. The taste is rich in the aroma of wood barrel spices, ripe fruits, lemon peel, leather, cinnamon, ginger and a hint of fruity acidity, ending with a hint of sweet malt. It has rich layers, with the barrels bringing out different levels of spice flavors, as well as the deep woody aroma brought by the aging in Mizunara barrels.

Shinobu Distillery was founded in 2018 by Mr. Sami Ken, who loves whiskey and has extensive brewing experience. He has over 20 years of brewing experience, having worked for Niigata Brewery, and has put that skill and passion into whisky making, ensuring the product is of the highest quality.

Shinobu Distillery combines traditional Japanese craftsmanship with innovative technology to produce exceptional whiskey. This time, we will take an in-depth look at the background of Shinobu Distillery, its unique selling points, and why it has become a favorite among whisky and wine lovers aged 30-50.

Shinobu Distillery is particularly fond of using Mizunara wood barrels, which are unique to Japan, for aging. Mizunara is a wood native to Japan that brings unique flavors of sandalwood, coconut and oriental spices to whisky.
