Tenbu is a sake that was re-produced in 2000 under the leadership of Nishiyo Ichiro, the eighth (current) head of the Kagoshima shochu brewery "Nishi Shuzo Co., Ltd." founded in 1845. Nishiyo Ichiro and the fourteenth generation Takagi Toshi is a classmate of Tokyo Agriculture University, and the 14th generation is Nishiyo Ichiro's predecessor. The gifted sake brewery was planned by the 14th generation, so the style is the same as the "14th generation" brewed by his predecessors, with an elegant and pleasant brew. The main features are aroma, transparency and excellent balance. The current head and president, Mr. Nishiyo Ichiro, runs the brewing business in a diversified manner. In addition to Tengen (sake), he also owns several brands such as Hozan (sake), URLAR (wine), and Ontake Distillery (whiskey).
