Chateau Chasse Spleen 忘憂堡是1932年第一代成為 Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel（僅 6 家入選），是中級莊的塔尖。到2003 年波爾多中級名莊首次進行官方評選，正式被評為特級中級名莊；後來中級莊不再進行細分，以忘憂堡、Poujeaux 寶捷為首的特級中級名莊霸氣退出了評選。
酒莊於1560年已建成，在1860 年時正式改名為 Chateau Chasse-Spleen，有解作「忘憂」的意思。幾經易主之後直到二十世紀70年代，由豐富經驗的 Merlaut 家族收購，將酒莊的水準再次推上高峰；90年代後期第三代莊主更新設備和釀造風格，酒質表現表現更上層樓。
數十年的成長保證了卓越且穩定的酒質並在業界建立了自己的品牌形象，即使如今的2020中級莊評選中沒有他的身影，而在波爾多眾多酒莊之中，其名氣早已遠大於很多中級甚至列級酒莊，就連知名的酒評家 Robert Parker也對其稱讚有加，甚至直言它有波爾多三級莊的價值。
酒莊位處於 Moulis 區之內，而 Moulis 區則位於 St. Julien 和 Margaux 之間。平均樹齡 30年，以碎石、黏土和白堊土的土壤種植密度為8000~10000株，人手採收之後在不銹鋼和混凝土的發酵罐中發酵，隨後在橡木桶陳熟12~14個月（40%為新桶）。釀造的葡萄酒帶有寶石紅酒色，入口帶黑醋栗、甘草、可哥、黑櫻桃、桑葉及辛香料味道。結構平衡，單寧幼細而成熟、口感圓潤飽滿、良好餘韻、集中度高。

This delivers a stylish impression from the get-go with a really nicely focused dark berry nose and hints of fresh pastry. The palate has a smooth array of bright blackberry and plum fruits with smoothly cut tannins that layer up nice and even. Classy.

Barrel Sample. The pure red-fruit flavors of this wine shoot through the firm tannins to give freshness while allowing plenty of space for the development of the tannins. It is a wine that shows both the fruit and the structure of the vintage.

The 2015 Chasse-Spleen is a wine of finesse and grace. Floral notes, spice, leather and mintare beautifully delineated in this attractive, midweight wine. All the elements are very nicelybalanced. Bright, saline notes extend the finish. Readers who appreciate the finer side ofBordeaux will flip out over the 2015.

Enticing, with a tangy iron note to the fresh red currant and bitter cherry fruit flavors, followed by a lingering sanguine edge on the pleasantly dusty finish.

Blackcurrants, black mushroom and bark. Light nutmeg undertones. Medium-bodied with fine tannins and a fine velvety texture with a savory and juicy finish. Balanced.

93–95. Barrel Sample. Always an impressive estate, this latest vintage is at the top of its game. The density of the dusty tannins and the richness of the black fruits are finely balanced, poised with acidity keeping things fresh. The wine has a great future.

The 2020 Chasse-Spleen has a ripe nose of blackcurrant and strawberry pastille, a little more opulent than its Left Bank peers. The palate is well balanced with plenty of fruit and a touch more rondeur/lower acidity, but it doesn't compromise on freshness and fans out nicely toward the finish. This is very promising.
