Even in thehighly acclaimed 2000 vintage, Du Tertre remains under most consumer’s radar.Made by essentially the same winemaking team as Giscours, this cuvee exhibits adense purple color, followed by earthy, truffle, smoky blackberry, floral, andcassis aromas. It is a beautifully pure, medium to full-bodied wine withabundant but sweet tannin, fine opulence, a multilayered texture, and a longfinish that is neither aggressive nor astringent. Cellar it for another 3-4years, and consume it over the following 20-25.

杜特城堡（Chateaudu Tertre）位於法國波爾多左岸的瑪歌（Margaux）產區，Tertre在法語中指山丘或上升地面，這是莊園所在的位置。自1855年開始葡萄園面積未有改動，杜特酒莊的歷史可以追溯到1143年，在漫長的歷史中多次易主，於1855年被評為五級莊。如今它也是波爾多特級酒莊聯合會（Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux, 簡稱UGCB）成員之一。波爾多龐大的葡萄酒家族——塞古爾（Marques de Segur）家族是酒莊歷任擁有者之一，該家族在巔峰時期曾同時擁有拉菲古堡（Chateau Lafite Rothschild）、木桐酒莊（ChateauMouton Rothschild）、拉圖城堡（Chateau Latour）和凱隆世家莊園（Chateau Calon Segur）等多個頂級名莊。在塞古爾家族的管理下，杜特城堡取得飛躍式的進步，酒莊面積擴大，葡萄酒品質也逐漸受到眾多專家的認可。在1955年由於 Philippe Gasqueton 離世，酒莊轉讓給荷蘭家族 Jelgersma ，家族同時擁有另一家三級莊 Chateau Giscour ，同樣交給酒莊經理 Alexander Van Beek 管理。

葡萄酒釀造

為了釀制杜特城堡（Chateau du Tertre），將葡萄酒混合在24個木桶，10個混凝土桶，4個小水泥雞蛋和16個不銹鋼罐中進行組合，其大小從10升至180升不等。杜特城堡（Chateaudu Tertre）是最早開始使用水泥Nomblot蛋形水泥桶的波爾多葡萄酒生產商之一。目前該莊園總共使用了4個蛋形桶。這些桶增加了葡萄酒的礦物質感。

蘋果乳酸發酵在法國橡木桶和大桶中進行，其中蘋果乳酸發酵的40％在桶中進行，而60％在混凝土桶中進行。杜特城堡（Chateau du Tertre）在50％的新法國橡木桶中平均花費18個月，並用蛋清稍加澄清。

酒莊生產的副牌酒，Les Hauts de Tertre 杜特副牌 。杜特城堡（Chateau duTertre）的葡萄酒平均每年產量接近16,500箱。
