Éric Legrand Champagne is a brand that bears his name. Eric is a winemaker and a wine connoisseur. In his cellar he developed his own unique brand. The son of a winemaker from Aubois, he inherited not only the vineyards but also the love for vineyard culture and managed to establish 12 hectares of terroir, now housed in an avant-garde building in the village of Seiler-sur-Urse Style house where Eric Le Grand, his wife Laurence and their two sons Valentin and Édouard welcome wine connoisseurs and create fine Champagne. Edouard joined his father in the creation of Champagne in 2012.
The role of nature is crucial to Eric Legrand's explorations. The winemaker’s knowledge of viticulture led him to work with a recirculating system in the vineyards. The plants he planted to expand his vineyards themselves came from the best vineyards in his area.
His vines are 35% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir, 10% Pinot Blanc and 5% Meunier, and the wines get their flavor from the clay-limestone soil of the Côte de Bar. His vineyards are located on south and southeast facing slopes and are bathed in sunlight from morning to evening. Éric Legrand practices viticulture that is qualitative, thoughtful and, above all, non-systematic.
The winery produces the following products:
