Gavi is located in the province of Allesandria in the southeast of Piemonte, Italy, close to Liguria. There are 13 towns and cities legally allowed to use grapes, of which the more well-known ones are: Gavi, Novi Ligure, Serravalle Scrivia, and Arquata Scrivia. It is characterized by aromas of lemon, green apple, melon, small white flowers, etc., as well as obvious mineral flavor, which is related to the rich mineral components in its soil; the taste is balanced, not sweet, with fresh acidity, and a little American almond fruit in the aftertaste taste.
