Château Musar White is seven years in the making, making Château Musar's white wine truly unique.

Chateau Musar Blanc blends the ancient grape varieties Obaideh and Merwah, native to the Lebanese mountains and said to be ancestors of Chardonnay and Semillon. It is produced in some of the world's oldest vineyards, dating back to 5,000 BC. The Obaideh vineyards are situated on the foothills of the Anti-Lebanon Mountains in stony, chalky soil, while the Merwah vines grow on the coastal side of the Lebanon Mountains, on limestone gravel. The terroir is excellent, but yields are very low: 10–20 hl per hectare. This is rare for vineyards of this size at such a high altitude (approximately 1400m).
Merwah (right image) has excellent aging potential, producing full-bodied wines with subtle citrus and nutty aromas. Obaideh (left image) is primarily used to make Arak anise liqueur and distilled spirits. It is also one of the main raw materials for wines from the renowned Chateau Musar winery in the Bekaa Valley. It is high in sugar and low in acidity, producing wines that often have a creamy smooth texture and flavors of honey and lemon. It is well-suited for aging in oak barrels and also has considerable aging potential.

The legendary Chateau Musar, the king of Lebanese wines, endured the ravages of war in Lebanon from 1975 to 1990. With unwavering perseverance, its owner, Serge, led the winery workers through gunfire to produce exceptional wines that stood head and shoulders above the rest. In 1984, he was named Decanter Magazine's first "Man of the Year," in recognition of his dedication to preserving Lebanon's ancient winemaking tradition amidst the chaos of war. Chateau Musar, established in 2006, was the first winery in Lebanon to receive organic certification for its vineyards. Nestled at an altitude of 3,000 feet in the tranquil and beautiful Bekaa Valley, the vineyards enjoy 300 days of sunshine annually. The cool nights and seasonal temperatures (frequent snowy winters and potentially hot summers) extend the grape ripening period. The diverse soil types contribute to the uniqueness and complexity of the wines. Its red wines are a blend of Bordeaux grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, and Carignan, fermented in individual cement tanks at 30°C, and aged for one year in French Nevers oak barrels six months after harvest. After another year of bottle aging, the different grape varieties are blended in cement tanks to reflect the strengths and characteristics of the vintage. After blending, the wine is bottle-aged in the cellar for another 3 to 4 years, without flaking or filtering during bottling. It takes seven years before it can be released to the market, demonstrating remarkable dedication and the winery owner's commitment to quality.
