Château Talmont's origins date back to the 18th century, initially established in the Landerrouat region of Bordeaux as a traditional family farm and vineyard, laying the foundation for centuries of terroir cultivation experience.

The winery is managed by the renowned Bordeaux winemaking family, the Mourgues (Famille Mourgues). Through continuous acquisition and improvement of surrounding vineyards, bringing them under the Vignobles Mourgues umbrella, the winery has gradually expanded to its current size of 177 hectares.

Château Talmont is located in Landerrouat, in eastern Bordeaux, within the Greater Bordeaux AOC, an area extending between the Entre-Deux-Mers. The winery sits on gently rolling hills, the excellent slope ensuring ample sunshine while facilitating natural drainage and air circulation, significantly reducing the risk of vineyard diseases and promoting perfect ripening. The temperate microclimate of the Entre-Deux-Mers region—located between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers—results in relatively stable temperatures, preventing extreme frosts and heat, and allowing for a more balanced development of grape flavors.

【有關釀造 Winemaking】

Château Talmont Bordeaux's winemaking process perfectly blends traditional Bordeaux techniques with modern, precise temperature control, aiming to preserve the purest freshness of the fruit while showcasing a smooth, rounded palate and structure.

To avoid overpowering the fruit aromas with excessive woodiness, the winery employs a "partial aging" strategy. Approximately a portion of the base wine is aged for over six months in French oak staves or barrels, imparting subtle aromas of vanilla, smoke, and toast, resulting in a more refined structure.

The winery's parent company, Vignobles Mourgues, holds the highest level of environmental certification in France, HVE (High Environmental Value), minimizing chemical intervention and allowing the wines to more authentically reflect the natural terroir of Landerrouat.
