Chateau Montrose is located on the slopes of the Gironde River. Whenever the water vapor diffuses at noon, the whole mountain tide turns rose, hence the name "Montrose". At the same time, purple heather flowers bloom everywhere in the circle, which also adds to the romantic atmosphere of Montrose. Since 1989, the stable quality assurance of Chateau Montrose has gradually surpassed that of Chateau Cos d'Estournel and Chateau Calon-Segur, which are equally famous in the village.

La Dame de Montrose is the second wine of Château Montrose. Like the original wine, it is made from grapes selected under strict standards. This wine was created in 1983 to pay tribute to Yvonne Charmolue who ran the winery on her own from 1944 to 1960.
