Located in the renowned Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation on the Right Bank of Bordeaux, France, Château La Fleur is a distinguished boutique estate within the Dassault Wine Estates portfolio. Since acquiring the property in 2002, the Dassault Group has continuously upgraded vineyard management and winemaking facilities, dedicated to showcasing the elegant style unique to Saint-Émilion.

Château La Fleur encompasses approximately 22 hectares of vineyards with an average vine age of 33 years, situated on the iconic clay-limestone terroir of Saint-Émilion. This soil type offers excellent drainage while retaining sufficient moisture, allowing the grapes to maintain balance during ripening and imparting refined fruit aromas, mineral nuances, and an elegant structure to the wines. The south and southwest-facing vineyard sites also benefit from ample sunlight, ensuring the grapes achieve optimal ripeness.

Merlot forms the core of the blend, accounting for approximately 85%, with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon added to enhance structure and complexity. Merlot contributes aromas of ripe red and black fruit, a silky mouthfeel, and a rounded texture, while Cabernet Franc provides floral notes, finesse, and aging potential; together, they create a style that embodies the signature blend of elegance and power found in Saint-Émilion wines from the Right Bank.

In terms of winemaking, the estate employs a meticulous management approach, vinifying grapes from different vineyard plots separately to preserve the unique terroir characteristics of each area. After hand-harvesting and rigorous sorting, the grapes undergo temperature-controlled fermentation. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately 14 to 16 months using a combination of vessels—including French oak barrels, amphorae, and concrete tanks—to enhance texture and layering while preserving the purity of the fruit flavors.
