At the beginning of the 20th century, La Rose Pauillac was affected by a serious crisis. The small owners of Pauillac decided to reorganize and concentrate all their properties and their vineyards to produce higher quality wines. For more than 20 years, the members have cultivated the land in a rational way with the utmost respect for nature, providing us with grapes of the highest quality. No pesticides or herbicides are used on the vineyards, the soil and vines are cultivated in the ancestral way like a small garden.
Pauillac is located in the Haut-Médoc region on the left bank of Bordeaux, France, and is famous for producing high-quality red wine.
In the 1855 Médoc classification system, four first-class wineries were selected, namely: Château Lafite, Château Latour, Château Margaux, and Château Haut-Brion. Together with Château Mouton Rothschild, which was promoted from a second-class winery to a first-class winery in 1973, there are a total of five first-class wineries. The village of Pauillac has three of them, which may be the reason why this little-known village has become famous all over the world.
