Chateau Grand-Puy Ducasse is a well-known winery in the wine-producing village of Pauillac in the Médoc region of Bordeaux, France, and was classified as a fifth growth in the 1855 Classification.
Official Website:http://www.grandpuyducasse.fr/en/home

Château Ducasse has a very long history, having begun in the mid-17th century when Arnaud Ducasse bought a small house on the banks of the Gironde, and it remained in the hands of the Ducasse family for some three centuries. The real founder of Château Ducasse was Pierre Ducasse, a lawyer by profession but with a passion for winegrowing. He inherited the family business and continued to expand the Ducasse estate by purchasing land in the Pauillac, Saint-Lambert and Saint-Sauveur regions. Pierre Ducasse's son inherited the 60-hectare estate (2/3 of the vineyards) and named it “Ducasse-Grand-Puy-Artigues-Arnaud” in 1820. In 1820, he built a château on the site of a small house purchased by his ancestors. Later, under the management of his son-in-law Adrien Chauvet, the estate was classified as a fifth growth in the 1855 classification under the name “Artigues Arnaud”.

Wine Tasting Notes: Deep ruby red, recommended to wake up 45mins, out of the Pauillac signature leather, tobacco Tobacoo,, Vanilla, high density, smell from afar, Medium +, with a hint of sweet plum! Entry is blackcurrant, tobacco, coffee beans ~ Pauillac area is really enjoyable, even if only 5 years of aging, I will feel the wine is so hard, you will feel the pour body and tannins are quite strong, but I would sip, is to slide to the “Sir” down the tongue, back to Gan 5 seconds, and then slid down the throat, formally just with a soft!
