【Wine Enthusiast 93】

From one of the many estates on the Pez plateau in the heart of Saint-Estèphe, this wine has a fine, dense structure, supported by tannins. It has a dark coffee aroma, layered black currant fruits and ripe acidity. Drink from at least 2028.

【James Suckling 92】

A tight and minerally St.-Estephe showing dark olives, blackberries and licorice on the nose. Tight-grained and juicy on the palate, with a medium to full body and a flavorful, medium-long finish. Cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc. This needs at least two more years to come around.

【Decanter 92】

Fruity and lively, this is clean and sleek with a wonderfully juicy core and high-toned red fruit that gives the palate bite and zing. Crushed stones and touches of sticky liquorice come in on the finish, adding nuance and character. Almost light in frame (and alcohol, compared with many), but delivers a really enjoyable glass with plenty of flavour, silky texture and long, cool finish.

【Falstaff 90】

Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections. Slightly more open bouquet, hints of prunes, redcurrants are underlying. Fresh, red cherry, lively acidity, mineral and citrus, a racy and animating food wine.

Winery introduction:
Chateau Tour de Pez (Chateau Tour de Pez) also has a Chinese translation of "Betta Winery", in which "Tour" means "tower" in French. Located in the Saint-Estephe region of Bordeaux, France, it is on the list of Cru Bourgeois released by L'Alliance des Crus Bourgeois in 2012. Established in the 16th century, and finally in 1989, Philippe Bouchara (Philippe Bouchara) bought the winery, and it has been in business today.

The current vineyard area of Tudepez Winery is 30 hectares, with an annual output of 200,000 bottles, of which 55% of the land is used to cultivate Merlot grapes, and 38% of the land is used to cultivate Cabernet Sauvignon (Cabernet Sauvignon). ) Grapes, 4% of the land is used to cultivate Petit Verdot grapes, and 3% of the land is used to cultivate Cabernet Franc grapes, with an average age of 35 years. Every year, the vineyards are carefully cultivated, strictly pruned, green fruits and vegetables, and the quality of the grapes produced is strictly controlled.

Style characteristics: Under the leadership of manager Franck Duprat and winemaker Eric Boissenot, we strive to blend every vintage while retaining the characteristics of the winery. Chateau Betta pursues a balanced taste, with soft tannins, bringing a very good aftertaste length and full of fruity, silky taste, exuding a strong and long-lasting aroma.
Brewing process: hand picking, immediately after the grapes are immediately destemmed and peeled, soaking lasts for 10-12 days, the fermentation temperature is 28-30°C, then malolactic fermentation, after these steps are transferred to oak barrels for aging

Saint Estephe:
St. Estephe is the northernmost one of the four famous wine villages in Haut-Medoc. The development of the wine industry is later than the other three sub-regions of Pauillac, Margaux and Saint-Julien. Relatively speaking, its popularity is less than that of the other three sub-regions of Médoc So high.

The soil structure in this production area is complex and diverse. Except for scattered gravel ground, most of it is clay, and there is some calcareous soil in the northwest. The poor drainage of the clay, coupled with the northerly location of the production area, the cooler climate, so the grapes here mature slowly, and the red wine produced here has a higher acidity, which is the most tannin in the entire Bordeaux area. The heavy, strongest and strongest wine. The red wines in the production area have a sour and firm taste, rough style, strong astringent tannins, and even an earthy taste. After several years of aging, the aroma and taste will become soft and rich in layers. The special feature of the wines in this region is that the wines are extremely rich in color, deep and full-bodied, with mineral flavours, but they are lively.

St. Estephe has 1,200 hectares of vineyards. The main grape varieties in this region are Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In the past 30 years, the proportion of Merlot among the wines in the production area has increased significantly, making the wines in the production area more and more acceptable. In recent decades of development, a number of wineries with excellent quality and very high cost performance have continuously emerged.
