1929年 Christophe Chambeyron現莊主的曾祖父建立了Domaine Levet，第一片葡萄園在Cote Blonde，這片崎嶇而又陡峭的葡萄園在當時只能趕著牛車進入。那時的山坡非常陡峭，路非常窄（現在也是…），他們戲稱這種路為「給山羊走的路」。 Marius Chambeyron，Christophe的兒子也開始幫助父親，一起進行種葡萄、釀酒事業。

1983年,Nicole Levet，（Marius Chambeyron女兒），和她先生Bernard Levet，接手酒莊繼續苦心經營，把酒莊葡萄園面積增加了一倍。那時候Cote Rotie產區還沒有現在如此世界聞名，但是夫婦倆當時就一直堅信自己酒的品質還有這個產區的無限潛力。如今家族第四代，Agnès Levet跟隨父母Nicole和Bernard Levet的腳步，繼續傳承著家族對風土的敬畏，在Cote Rotie釀造能經得起歲月考驗的酒，並且在Condrieu這個著名幹白產區，做出一番事業。

產區 Region

葡萄園坐落在頁岩豐富的土壤上，因此礦物質感十足，朝向為最佳的南或者東南朝向，這11個Lieu-dit略地分佈在Ampuis周圍，例如：Côte Brune，Côte Blonde，Landonne 還有Chavaroche, Mollard, Baleyat, Côte Rozier（Gangloffey）。

這裡有一個有趣的點，酒莊種植的Syrah西拉是一個源自當地Ampuis地區的古老品種：la Petite Serine,這個品種非常特殊，產量低，果串更小而且果粒之間更加鬆散透風、果實也小但質量高。

天時、地利、人和加上特殊的古老品種，正是因為這樣Cote Rotie的酒才與世界上的其他西拉如此不同，Domaine Levet的酒才如此不同。

前面說到，2019年開始，酒莊開始在Condrieu這一北羅訥河谷傳奇乾白產區開疆擴土。酒莊在Condrieu的葡萄園位於Saint-Michel-sur-Rhône，這塊lieu-dit 略地叫做：Lamaraze,酒莊在這裡擁有0.3公頃Viognier葡萄，這些葡萄是Domaine Richard在1986年種的，Levet用同等大小的在Cote Rotie.

The 2016 Côte Rôtie Amethyste has exotic notes of gamy meats, medicinal herbs, beef blood, and iron. It’s nicely concentrated, medium to full-bodied, and shows the wild, sauvage character of this estate beautifully. It will benefit from short-term cellaring and keep for 10-15 years.

Vinous 92 pts

Opaque ruby. Dark berry and floral qualities on the fragrant, spice-accented nose, along with an exotic apricotflourish. Round and open-knit, at least by Levet standards, offering cassis and blueberry flavors underscored by avein of juicy acidity. Finishes long and spicy, with repeating florality and sneaky, steadily building tannins.
